White Barn Pokolbin Wedding Photography & Videography

From the very first conversation with Jye and Jaz, we knew their wedding day was going to be something special. As fellow teachers working just down the road from our schools, it was a wonder we hadn’t crossed paths before!

Their wedding took place on Saturday, November 23rd, at the stunning White Barn in Pokolbin, a venue known for its expansive grounds, breathtaking scenery and of course their large modern barn—perfect for two lovers to tie the knot.


A Unique Ceremony Setup

Jye and Jaz chose to do things a little differently from the typical White Barn wedding. While most couples use the barn as a backdrop for their ceremony, they opted to reverse the setup, creating a shaded area for the bridal party—a welcomed decision on an exceptionally hot day. The thoughtful touches didn’t stop there: guests were provided with sun umbrellas and water to ensure everyone stayed comfortable.

The ceremony was officiated by the ever-entertaining Brad, AKA The Colourful Celebrant, whose blend of humor, heartfelt moments, and seamless MCing made the day unforgettable for everyone involved.


Exploring White Barn and Beyond

After the ceremony, we dove into group photos, family portraits, and a creative shoot with the bridal party. White Barn offers a diverse range of settings, from open fields to charming rustic features, which made for an incredible photography and videography experience.

Jye had one special request: capturing shots in a vineyard. Although White Barn itself doesn’t have vineyards, Jye took the initiative earlier that morning to secure access to a nearby vineyard. After the main meal, we headed there just in time for a magical sunset shoot. The drone footage we captured during this golden-hour detour added a breathtaking perspective to their highlight film.


Dancing the Night Away

When we returned to White Barn, Jye and Jaz had a surprise in store—a fully choreographed dance that included not just the two of them but their entire bridal party! This high-energy performance transitioned seamlessly into an open dance floor, where their guests joined in for a night of celebration.


Wedding Photography & Videography Coverage

Jye and Jaz booked us for five hours of coverage, from their ceremony through to the dance floor. Their package included:

  • An online gallery of images.
  • A 3-minute highlight film capturing the essence of their day.

After the wedding, Jye reached out to purchase additional videos, including their full ceremony, speeches, and dance films—allowing them to relive every moment for years to come.
