Wandin Estate Wedding Photography & Videography – Emma & Jacob

Emma and Jacob’s wedding at Wandin Estate was a testament to resilience, love, and the power of community. After their original venue unexpectedly went out of business, leaving many Hunter Valley couples scrambling, Emma and Jacob found their saving grace in Wandin Estate. While their new wedding date meant their original photographer was unavailable, I was thrilled to step in and offer them a discounted package to capture their special day.

This was my first time at Wandin Estate, and it didn’t disappoint. With its expansive grounds, multiple ceremony and photo locations, onsite accommodation, and even a pool for warmer weather, it’s a dream venue for any couple.


Morning Preparations

Emma spent the morning getting ready in Wandin Estate’s spacious onsite accommodation, surrounded by her bridesmaids and brothers. The multi-room setup offered plenty of space for everyone to prepare comfortably. Emma wore a breathtaking gown from Newcastle Bridal House, paired with flawless hair by Holly May Hairstylist and makeup by Makeup by Jade.

One of the many conveniences of Wandin Estate is how close everything is. When it was time for the ceremony, Emma simply stepped out of her accommodation and walked directly down the aisle—a seamless and beautiful moment.


The Ceremony

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Hunter Valley’s rolling hills, Emma and Jacob’s ceremony was filled with love and emotion. One standout moment was when The Bow Tie DJ played a pre-recorded message from Emma to Jacob just before she walked down the aisle. This heartfelt touch brought tears to many in attendance. Happily Ever Armstrong then took over, leading a heartfelt ceremony that perfectly captured Emma and Jacob’s love story.


Exploring Wandin Estate

After the ceremony, we captured a group photo and formal family portraits before the guests headed off to cocktail hour. This left the bridal party free to explore Wandin Estate’s incredible grounds for photos. From expansive vineyards to an old barn with a second-level view that makes for a dramatic shot, every corner of the estate offers unique opportunities for stunning images.

One highlight was sneaking away with Emma and Jacob during golden hour to capture sunset photos. The warm light perfectly illuminated their love, and as if on cue, a group of kangaroos appeared to make the moment even more magical.


The Reception

The reception kicked off in style, with the bridal party making a grand entrance guided by The Bow Tie DJ. Guests enjoyed incredible food, heartfelt speeches, and a lively atmosphere. The night transitioned seamlessly into a dance-filled celebration, capped off with a romantic nighttime dance for Emma and Jacob—a perfect way to end their unforgettable day.

Emma and Jacob chose our Full Day Plus Package, which included 8 hours of photography and videography coverage. They received a 6-minute highlight film, full ceremony film, full speeches film, and an online gallery of images to relive their special day.
