While we are widely known as a husband-and-wife photo and video duo, capturing wedding videography alongside external high quality photographers is one of our favourite ways to work.
When you hire separate photography and videography teams, seamless vendor collaboration is everything. Working alongside the incredible team at Hungry Hearts Co, our focus was on maintaining total creative synergy—ensuring both the photo and video teams had space to capture optimal angles, matching lighting setups, and zero awkward crossover.
Relaxed Mornings: Dual Prep Locations
The day began with Erin and Matthew preparing at two separate nearby Airbnb properties. Splitting pre-ceremony prep into two locations kept the morning relaxed and ensured the couple didn't catch a glimpse of each other before the main event.
From a videography standpoint, separate prep locations allow us to build audio-visual suspense in the opening sequence of the wedding film—pairing intimate getting-ready footage with voiceover snippets before the emotional reunion at the altar.
Emotional Vows That Left No Dry Eye
A great wedding film relies heavily on sound. While photography captures the frozen split-second, videography preserves the tremble in a voice, the nervous laughter, and the crowd's reaction.
