Location: Gracelands, Forresters Beach | Central Coast, NSW

Vibe: Intimate, warm, and cozy winter celebration

Services: Photography & Videography by Crottison

Returning to Gracelands at Forresters Beach always feels like coming home—mostly because it is! We got married at this incredible Central Coast venue ourselves, so every time we step onto the grounds to photograph and film a wedding, we bring an extra layer of personal love and local insight to the day.

If you are planning an intimate Central Coast wedding, this real winter celebration shows exactly how to embrace early sunsets, leverage nearby coastal lookouts, and turn cool winter air into unforgettable photo opportunities.

Setting the Scene: Cozy Winter Vibes at Gracelands

Mid-winter on the Central Coast brings crisp, clear air and gorgeous, warm lighting. The tradeoff? The sun sets early. Rather than rushing the timeline, we designed a flow that embraced the winter sun and extended into the evening.

The bride spent a calm morning getting ready at a family friend’s house nearby before heading straight to Gracelands for the ceremony. While wedding prep mornings can sometimes feel overwhelming, our biggest goal as photographers and videographers is to keep the energy relaxed and fun.

"When I started wedding planning, I knew that I was going to have Jordan & Nicole as my photo/videographers... The day of, I was so anxious I barely spoke throughout the morning. The moment Jordan walked in, he immediately burst my anxious quiet bubble and brought out my fun, bubbly, smiley self. Jordan made me feel so incredibly comfortable, beautiful, and honestly like a model... he was my number one hype man." — The Bride

Must-Have Photo Spots: Gracelands Garden & Wyrrabalong Lookout

Gracelands is known for its relaxed, intimate charm, and its lush back garden offers a private oasis right in the heart of Forresters Beach. It’s perfect for family portraits immediately following the ceremony while guests enjoy drinks.

For the bridal party portraits, we took advantage of one of our absolute favorite locations just five minutes up the road: Wyrrabalong Lookout.

  • Why Wyrrabalong Lookout works: It offers sweeping, elevated views of the Central Coast coastline, dramatic cliffside backdrops, and expansive ocean horizons.

  • Pro-Tip for Couples: Because it's only a 5-minute drive from Gracelands, you get breathtaking, wild coastal landscapes without leaving your guests behind for hours.

Embracing the Dark: Creative Night Photography

Once the winter sun dipped, the real creative fun began. Instead of packing away the cameras when twilight hit, we set up off-camera lighting in the outdoor spaces at Gracelands.

Night photography allows us to capture high-energy, mood-rich images that stand out from standard daylight portraits. We took the bridal party outside after dark for some action-packed, editorial-style shots with custom lighting—giving the couple a diverse gallery of bright coastal moments alongside moody, party-focused night shots.

Fast Delivery & Party Vibes

Why wait weeks just to see a single preview? By midnight—while the party was still going strong—we delivered a Live Highlights Gallery straight to the couple's phones so they could relive the best moments of their day before even falling asleep.

"Before the night was even over, we’d received our Highlights Gallery minutes before midnight whilst we were still partying! This man loves his work; they all turned out immaculate, capturing all the perfect moments for us to cherish for the rest of our lives." — The Bride
