Some weddings feel like destiny, and Scott and Megghan’s was one of them. I’ve known Scott since our high school days when we worked together at Red Rooster on the Central Coast. What started as endless banter between shifts grew into a lifelong friendship. Years later, as life led us down different paths, we reconnected when Scott asked me to photograph his wedding to the incredible Megghan.

Their venue of choice? Ben Ean in the Hunter Valley—a breathtaking location that flawlessly combines timeless elegance with the region’s natural beauty.


The Morning Preparations

The day began at the stunning Palmers Lane Estate, a perfect choice for wedding preparations. The estate’s thoughtful layout ensures privacy, allowing Scott and Megghan to get ready without catching a glimpse of each other. The spacious cabins, surrounded by serene Hunter Valley views, made for a relaxed and intimate start to the day. With room for up to 97 guests, it’s an ideal spot to host your wedding party or even your entire guest list.

One of the most emotional moments of the morning was Megghan’s first look with her father. These brief, heartfelt moments add so much depth to the wedding day. When her father walked into the room to see his daughter in her stunning gown by Made with Love Bridal, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. These simple, meaningful gestures create memories that last forever.


A Romantic Vineyard Ceremony

The ceremony took place at Ben Ean, where Scott and Megghan exchanged vows against a backdrop of lush vineyards and the majestic Mount Bright. Their celebrant, Mel from Hitched in the Hunter, beautifully told their love story, highlighting their resilience through years of a long-distance relationship.

Guests were treated to a thoughtful and picturesque setup, with every detail exuding modern sophistication. The ceremony was followed by a group photo, family portraits in the gardens, and a bridal party shoot with breathtaking vineyard views.


Contemporary Elegance Meets Fun

Scott and Megghan’s wedding was the perfect mix of class and personality. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for a champagne tower—a glamorous and modern twist that wowed their guests. The celebration kicked off with a lively reception, where a close friend MC’d the evening.

From the delectable cuisine by Ben Ean to the electrifying beats provided by Mane Events, every element came together seamlessly. The dance floor buzzed with energy, and at one point, even a hot dog made its way into the festivities—proof that this couple knows how to mix elegance with a touch of humor.
